13-Cut Tab Pressboard File Folder

This Smead fastener folder uses 100% recycled pressboard to hold legal-size documents. Two fasteners secure the contents while a three-inch expansion accommodates bulky files. The 13-cut tab provides clear labelling space for quick identification. A box contains 25 blue folders for office filing systems.

Upgrading from standard manila folders

The pressboard construction resists tearing better than basic manila stock when files are accessed frequently. Three-inch expansion replaces thinner folders that split under heavy loads. Dual fasteners prevent page loss that occurs with single-prong or friction-fit designs. Buyers who need legal-size capacity in a lighter material should consider alternative folder types.

Questions about this item

What drawer depth fits the 3 expansion on these legal-size folders?

The 3 expansion requires a legal-size drawer or shelf at least 3 deep when the folder is full.

How do the two fasteners attach papers, and what step avoids tears?

Align holes with both prongs, press the compressor bar down fully, then fold the prongs flat — skipping the compressor step causes torn sheets.
