Letter-size file folders

These Smead 13193 folders are letter-size top-tab folders sold in a box of 100. They are made from 11 point stock with a navy blue finish for colour-coded organisation. The one-ply tabs are 1/3-cut and measure 1/2 inch high. Rounded top corners and an undercut front panel help the folders slide smoothly in drawers.

Suited for high-volume filing

The 100-count box suits offices, schools or home users who need a large, uniform supply for active filing systems. Buyers who only need a few folders or who prefer hanging-file tabs will find this quantity and tab style unsuitable.

1/3-cut top tab style

The single specification that decides fit is the 1/3-cut top tab, which determines how the folder aligns in your drawer or shelf system. If your existing guides or dividers require a different tab cut, these folders will not match.

Questions about this item

What does the 11 point stock limit under heavy daily filing?

The 11 point stock provides a rigid folder body that resists bending, while the scored 3/4 inch expansion allows the folder to accommodate thick file stacks without tearing.

How do the one-ply tabs and rounded corners hold up when the drawers stay open all day?

One-ply tabs and rounded top corners reduce snagging on adjacent folders, so the tabs stay intact and the corners do not dog-ear during continuous drawer access.

Which existing filing cabinet or shelf is needed to use these 1/3-cut top-tab folders?

These folders require a letter-size drawer or shelf with top-tab rails spaced for 1/3-cut tab positions, which is standard on most vertical and lateral file cabinets.
