Smead 13724 Red Pressboard Classification File Folder

Red 25-pt pressboard classification folder

The Smead 13724 is a letter-size classification folder built from 25-pt red pressboard for heavy daily use. A single 20-pt natural brown fiberboard divider splits the interior into two sections. Four K-style fasteners, two on the cover and two on the divider, secure papers in each compartment. The 2/5-cut top tab sits right of center for clear labeling in any drawer.

2-inch expansion holds sustained paper volume

The gusset expands to a full 2 inches, accommodating thick, ongoing projects without tearing. Fastener capacity matches the expansion at 2 inches on the cover and 1 inch on the divider, so every sheet stays clamped even when the folder is packed. Heavyweight pressboard resists edge wear and corner damage that lighter stock suffers after months of handling.

Replaces single-pocket folders that overflow

This folder replaces basic file pockets when documents must stay in sequence across two distinct categories. The jump is worth it when loose sheets regularly exceed one pocket's capacity or when project phases need physical separation. It is not for users who need more than one internal divider or who prefer a non-expanding flat file.
