Pressboard classification folders

These legal-size folders use 25 pt. pressboard covers and bonded SafeShield fasteners that protect documents and fingers while reducing crinkling. Each folder provides four sections separated by one divider and two fasteners with 2-inch capacity. The 2/5-cut self tabs on the cover allow quick labelling. Ten red folders come in each box.

Offices handling high-volume legal case files

Suits legal departments, government agencies and archive teams that need durable, expandable folders for 8 1/2" x 14" documents. The pressboard construction withstands frequent handling and the 2-inch expansion accommodates thick case files. Buyers who need letter-size folders, fewer than four sections, or a different tab cut should look elsewhere.

2-inch fastener capacity for thick legal files

The two SafeShield fasteners each hold up to 2 inches of material, making this the deciding specification for anyone storing bulky legal documents. If your typical file thickness stays well below that limit, a lighter folder may be adequate.

Questions about this item

Will the SafeSHIELD bonded fasteners on these 18775 folders need replacing after heavy daily use?

The bonded fasteners are designed to reduce crinkling and protect papers, so they typically last the life of the folder without needing replacement.

Which part of the 25 pt pressboard folder reaches its limit first when fully expanded to 2 inches?

The 2-inch expansion capacity is the structural limit; once the folder holds that volume the pressboard cover and single divider are at their maximum.

Does the red pressboard material trap heat or create noise when the folders sit packed on a shelf all day?

Pressboard is a passive paper product; it generates no noise, no heat and draws no power regardless of how long it remains on the shelf.
