Clear poly tabs for hanging folders

The Smead 64600 pack supplies twenty-five clear vinyl tabs with white perforated inserts. They fit both letter-size and legal-size hanging folders and install in several positions. The angled design keeps labels readable at a glance. Ideal for offices that need durable, smudge-proof indexing.

Replaces worn or missing tab inserts

When existing tabs crack, fade or fall out, these poly tabs restore quick visual sorting without replacing the whole folder. The jump is worth it if current tabs are paper-based and tear easily or if handwritten labels smudge. The scored insert strips let you print or write clean labels before snapping them in.

Holds up under daily filing traffic

Vinyl construction resists bending and cracking when folders are slid repeatedly along rails. The clear face stays legible after months of handling and does not cloud from skin oils. Inserts remain locked in place because the perforated sheets separate cleanly without ragged edges.

Questions about this item

How do the 1/5-cut tabs attach to letter-size or legal-size hanging folders?

The poly tabs slide into the folder’s built-in tab slots at several positions; the angled design keeps labels readable.

What is the correct way to separate the white inserts before placing them in the tabs?

Fold along the scored lines, then tear at the perforations to free each insert without bending the poly tab.

When should the clear poly tabs or white inserts be replaced?

Replace a tab if the poly cracks or the insert becomes illegible; the smudge-proof surface resists wear under normal office use.
