Sturdy File Pockets for Bulky Records

These file pockets manage bulky records with an accordion design and 5.25 inch expansion. Tyvek reinforcement at the gusset tops makes the sides virtually tear-proof. The 10-count box suits offices that regularly archive thick case files or project binders.

Reinforced Construction Details

Double-thick 9 point redrope front and 12-1/2 point redrope back add rigidity for heavy loads. Rounded top corners and an 11 point manila liner protect documents and ease subject identification. Bottom and sides are fully enclosed to keep contents secure.

Capacity and Practical Limits

Each pocket expands to 5.25 inches, handling substantial paper stacks without splitting. The letter-size format fits standard filing cabinets but will not accommodate legal or oversize sheets. Buyers needing deeper expansion or legal-size pockets should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How often will the 12-1/2 point redrope gussets need replacing under heavy daily use?

The Tyvek reinforcement at the top of the gussets is designed to make the sides virtually tear-proof, so replacement is unlikely unless the pocket itself is damaged.

What capacity limit will I reach first when filling the 5.25" expansion pocket?

The 5.25" overall expansion is the maximum fill limit; the bottom and sides are fully enclosed, so the gusset depth determines capacity before the pocket splits.

Do the 6-1/2" high gussets trap heat or create handling noise when the box sits on a shelf all day?

These are passive paper folders with no moving parts or electronics, so they produce no noise, generate no heat and draw no power while stored.
