Product type

These expansion drop-front file pockets are made from heavyweight polypropylene and sold in boxes of four. They are designed to store and organise large volumes of letter-size paperwork. The acid-free, archival-quality material is waterproof and tear-resistant.

Who they suit

They suit offices and home users who need durable, colour-coded filing for bulky documents. The 3-1/2" expansion and drop-front panels allow quick access to thick files. Buyers who need legal-size pockets or a different tab configuration should look at other options.

Key specification

The straight-tab design places the label area in a single centred position on each pocket. This layout works with standard alphabetic or numeric filing systems. Confirm that your existing cabinet or shelf uses straight tabs before ordering.

Questions about this item

What size filing cabinet or drawer do I need to store these letter-size pockets?

The pockets are letter-size, so they fit standard letter-width drawers or shelves; allow at least 3-1/2 inches of depth per pocket when fully expanded.

Will the blue polypropylene material damage older paper files stored inside?

The poly material is acid-free and archival-quality, so it will not yellow or degrade paper documents over time.

How can I confirm the pockets are holding their full 3-1/2-inch expansion without tearing?

Fill a pocket to capacity; the rounded top corners and 6-inch matching gussets should remain intact and the drop front should still open smoothly.
