Legal-Size Expansion File Pockets

This box contains ten legal-size expansion file pockets built for high-volume paper storage. Each pocket expands to 3.5 inches and uses a straight-cut tab layout for consistent labeling. The Tyvek-reinforced gussets run 6.5 inches high and are fully lined to resist tearing under heavy daily use. The drop-front design allows quick access without removing the pocket from the drawer.

Offices managing bulky case files

Suited for legal practices, compliance archives and any department that accumulates thick paper records in legal format. The reinforced construction handles frequent retrieval and re-filing without gusset failure. Not intended for letter-size cabinets, binders or digital-only workflows that do not use physical expansion pockets.

3.5 inch expansion capacity

The single specification that determines fit is the 3.5 inch overall expansion, which dictates how many sheets each pocket can hold before requiring a new folder. Buyers who need less expansion for thinner files or a different tab style should look at other configurations.

Questions about this item

How much expansion does the 3.5 inch pocket provide before it reaches capacity?

The pocket expands to 3.5 inches overall, allowing it to hold bulky legal-size records while the Tyvek-lined gussets resist tearing at full capacity.

Will the Tyvek reinforcement and redrope material hold up to daily heat and handling without degrading?

The 12-1/2 point redrope back, 9 point redrope front and 6.5 inch high Tyvek-lined gussets are designed for heavy, active use and resist tears during all-day handling.

Do I need any extra hardware or supplies to start using these expansion pockets?

No extra hardware is required; the straight-cut tabs fit standard legal-size filing systems and the pockets are sold as a ready-to-use box of 10.
