Expanding file jacket for thick document sets

This Smead 75673 file jacket expands two inches to hold bulky stacks of photos, documents, charts and X-rays. Closed on three sides, it keeps contents from slipping out during transport. The 11 point colored stock provides rigidity for frequent handling. A thumb-cut on the front panel allows quick access to files.

Suits mobile professionals and project organisers

The jacket serves users who carry active project files between locations and need secure closure with colour-coded identification. Buyers who need top-load access without a thumb-cut or who require a non-expanding folder for slim documents should look at something else.

Two-inch expansion capacity

The two-inch expansion is the single specification that determines whether this jacket fits the intended volume of material. Without that depth, thick stacks of records or imaging film will not close securely.

Questions about this item

Will the 11 point stock and 2 inch expansion fit inside a standard letter-size hanging folder?

The jacket measures 9 1/2 by 11 3/4 inches and expands two inches, so it fits letter hanging folders while holding thick document stacks.

How do I use the thumb-cut and the half-inch higher back tab when filing?

Pull the front thumb-cut for quick access; the back tab sits half an inch higher to create a visible index row in the drawer.

When will the 11 point colored stock need replacing under daily office use?

The 11 point stock resists normal handling; replace individual jackets only when edges fray or the expansion gusset tears.
