One-Input Two-Output Optical Splitter

This SMUGDESP optical splitter duplicates a single Toslink SPDIF source to two separate audio devices at the same time. It handles uncompressed PCM stereo signals for televisions, game consoles, soundbars, amplifiers and speakers. The integrated cable design needs no external power supply and works immediately after plugging in. Its compact form fits easily behind cabinets or equipment racks.

Passive Plug-and-Play Operation

Because the unit draws power from the optical signal itself, there is no power adapter to connect and no driver or software to install. The splitter simply mirrors the incoming PCM stereo stream to both outputs, letting you run a soundbar and an amplifier together without swapping cables. Encrypted surround formats such as Dolby Atmos or DTS are not supported, so only standard stereo PCM audio passes through.

Check Source and Device Compatibility

Verify that your source device can output PCM stereo over its Toslink port, as the splitter cannot decode compressed or multi-channel bitstreams. Ensure both target devices accept an optical input and are set to the same PCM sample rate. The fixed cable lengths on the unit may limit placement, so measure the distance from source to each destination before ordering.
