SMUGDESK 100W USB C Extension Cable 1.6ft 2-Pack 10Gbps 4K@60Hz

Suitable devices and limitations

This extension cable suits users who need to lengthen an existing USB-C connection for charging laptops, tablets or phones at up to 100W and for moving data at 10Gbps. It also carries 4K video at 60Hz or 2K at 120Hz to an external display. Buyers whose charger or device does not support Power Delivery will not reach the rated charging speed. Those who require a longer reach than 1.6ft should look for a different cable length.

Deciding specification

The single figure that determines fit is the 10Gbps data rate combined with 100W Power Delivery over a 1.6ft male-to-female USB 3.2 link. If your host, charger and peripheral all support USB 3.1 Gen 2 and PD at 20V/5A, the cable will deliver full speed and power; otherwise performance falls back to the lowest common capability.
