16 ft 8K DisplayPort 1.4 Fiber Cable
This 16 ft fiber optic cable carries DisplayPort 1.4 signals at up to 32.4 Gbps using HBR3 and DSC 1.2. It supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 240 Hz, plus Dynamic HDR and HDCP 2.2. The unidirectional design links a PC or laptop to a monitor, projector or VR headset such as Valve Index or Oculus Rift S.
VESA certified HBR3 bandwidth over distance
Fiber construction delivers the full 32.4 Gbps specified for HBR3 across the entire 16 ft run without the signal loss that limits copper cables at length. Gold plated connectors protect the internal transceiver and maintain a stable link during extended gaming or professional sessions. Backwards compatibility with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1 preserves the connection when older ports are used.
Replaces length limited copper DisplayPort cables
Copper cables rated for 8K often drop to lower speeds beyond a few metres; this fiber cable keeps 8K 60 Hz and 4K 240 Hz intact at 16 ft. The upgrade is worth it when the display sits farther from the GPU than passive copper allows, or when VR setups demand a thin, flexible tether. It does not suit installations that require bidirectional DisplayPort alternate mode over USB C.

Questions about this item
Does the 16 ft fiber run stay cool and silent during all-day 8K 60 Hz use?
Yes. The cable uses optical transmission, so it generates no measurable heat and has no active components to produce noise, even at the full 32.4 Gbps HBR3 rate.
Which ports must my graphics card and monitor already provide for this DP 1.4 cable to work?
Both devices need a standard DisplayPort 1.4 (or 1.3/1.2/1.1) connector; the cable plugs directly into those ports with its gold-plated ends.
Will the 16 ft length still deliver 4K 144 Hz to a DisplayPort 1.2 monitor I keep?
Yes. The cable is backward compatible with DP 1.2, so 3840×2160 at 144 Hz passes reliably over the full distance.
