Compact 90-degree USB-C male-to-female adapter with aluminium finish

SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK 90° USB-C Male to Female Elbow Adapter 80Gbps 240W PD 16K Video

SKU CH-W4JN-2F90P

A 90° USB-C elbow adapter supports 80 Gbps data, 240 W charging and up to 16K video while protecting ports in tight spaces

  • Low-profile 90° design eliminates port bending stress and cable abrasion in tight spaces
  • USB4 V2.0 compliance delivers up to 80Gbps data transfer, backward compatible with 40Gbps, 20Gbps, 10Gbps standards
  • Intelligent E-Marker chip enables PD3.1 240W fast charging for high-power laptops and handheld devices
  • DP Alt Mode supports up to 16K@30Hz, 8K@60Hz, 5K@60Hz and dual 4K display output
  • All-aluminium alloy housing with gold-plated terminals ensures stable signal transmission and plug-and-play compatibility

Right-angle USB-C extender for tight spaces

The SMUGDESK 90° elbow adapter connects a full-feature USB-C male plug to a female port, letting cables run flat against laptops, handheld consoles or inside chassis where straight connectors would bend or foul neighbouring ports. It is built for users who need reliable data, power and video through a single low-profile joint.

80Gbps bandwidth with 240W power delivery

Compliant with USB4 V2.0 and Thunderbolt 5, the adapter moves data at up to 80Gbps and carries PD3.1 240W (48V/5A) charging for high-performance notebooks and Steam Deck. Video passes through DP Alt Mode at 16K@30Hz, 8K@60Hz, 5K@60Hz or dual 4K, but 16K@60Hz and higher refresh at 8K are beyond its spec.

Plug-and-play aluminium housing

Gold-plated terminals and an all-aluminium shell provide stable signal transmission without drivers. The adapter works with any Thunderbolt 3/4/5 or full-function USB-C device, freeing port clearance in cramped setups. It does not add legacy USB-A, HDMI or DisplayPort sockets, so builds needing those connectors require a separate dock or dongle.

Questions about this item

Will the 90° USB-C elbow adapter work with my existing Thunderbolt 3 dock that only runs at 40Gbps?

Yes, the adapter is backward compatible with 40Gbps, 20Gbps and 10Gbps USB-C standards so your Thunderbolt 3 dock will function normally.

How can I verify the adapter is delivering the full 80Gbps data rate after I plug it in?

Connect a USB4 V2.0 or Thunderbolt 5 device and run a large file transfer; sustained speeds approaching 80Gbps confirm the link is operating at the advertised rate.

Does the package include any extra cables or do I need to buy a separate USB-C cable to reach my monitor?

Only the 90° male-to-female elbow adapter is included; you must supply your own full-feature USB-C cable for data, 240W charging or 16K video.
