  • Built-in KVM shares one keyboard and mouse across two computers
  • Lossless signal chip prevents lag and flicker during gaming
  • Plug-and-play manual button control with durable housing

Bidirectional DisplayPort 1.4 Switch

The SMUGDESK bidirectional DisplayPort 1.4 switch combines a 2-input-to-1-output switch and a 1-input-to-2-output splitter in one unit. It includes an integrated KVM module that lets a single keyboard and mouse control two connected computers. The device is aimed at users who need to share one monitor between two sources or duplicate one source across two identical screens.

DisplayPort 1.4 compliance with 8K@30Hz and 4K@120Hz

The unit follows the DisplayPort 1.4 standard and supports 8K resolution at 30 Hz and 4K resolution at 120 Hz. This specification determines whether the switch can handle the required video bandwidth for high-refresh gaming, graphic design or 3D rendering workflows. If the connected equipment demands higher refresh rates at 8K or different colour-depth modes, this device will not meet that need.

Passive operation with manual button switching

The switch draws power from the connected DisplayPort interfaces and requires no external power supply or driver installation. A physical button on the chassis toggles between the two operating modes and selects the active input. No active cooling is present, so the unit runs silently during normal use. Power consumption is limited to what the DP ports provide.
