Four solderless DB9 male-to-female gender changers convert RS232 serial ports for industrial equipment without tools
This set contains four solderless DB9 male-to-female adapters that convert serial port gender without tools or soldering. Each coupler follows the standard 9-pin D-sub pinout so existing RS-232 cables can be joined or repurposed in seconds. The multipack format suits workshops, labs and server rooms where several connections must be adapted at once. All units are supplied new and ready for immediate use.
Technicians who maintain PLCs, POS terminals, modems or industrial controllers will find these changers convenient for on-site reconfiguration. Users who require shielded housings, locking screws or right-angle profiles should look elsewhere because these adapters provide only straight-through pin-to-pin conversion. The design also assumes standard RS-232 voltage levels and does not convert signal protocols or supply power to connected devices.
Each adapter comfortably carries typical RS-232 control and data lines between DTE and DCE equipment over short cable runs. Headroom is limited to the electrical specifications of the RS-232 interface itself; long-distance runs, high-speed synchronous modes or multi-drop networks exceed what a passive gender changer can support. For those scenarios active converters or repeaters are required instead.

No published specifications for this item yet.
You need equipment with a male DB9 port such as a PLC, industrial controller, POS terminal or modem that you want to connect to a female serial cable or device.
Yes, they use the universal 232 pin definition so older serial hardware that conforms to that layout will communicate reliably.
Check that the connected serial devices establish communication — for example a terminal program shows data flowing or the controller reports a successful handshake.
