6.6 ft DP 1.4 Extension Cable

This DisplayPort 1.4 extension cable adds 6.6 feet to an existing connection. It carries up to 32.4 Gbps bandwidth and supports resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 1440p at 240 Hz. The braided jacket and gold-plated connectors are rated for over 10,000 insertions. It is built for desktop PCs and gaming monitors that need extra reach.

Who Benefits and Who Does Not

The cable suits users extending a DisplayPort link for a tidy desk setup or a wall-mounted screen. It also helps protect the graphics card port from frequent plugging. Buyers who need a native HDMI or Mini DisplayPort connection should look elsewhere because this is a full-size DisplayPort male-to-female extender only.

Deciding Specification: 32.4 Gbps Bandwidth

The 32.4 Gbps HBR3 bandwidth determines whether 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 240 Hz can be delivered without compression. If the source and display both support HBR3, the cable will pass the full signal. If either device tops out at HBR2, the link will fall back to lower resolutions or refresh rates.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the cable is delivering 8K at 60 Hz after connecting it?

Check your GPU control panel or monitor OSD to confirm the active resolution reads 7680x4320 at 60 Hz and that HDR is enabled; a stable image at that setting means the 32.4 Gbps link is working.

What comes in the box and what must I supply myself?

The package includes the 6.6 ft braided DisplayPort 1.4 extension cable and five cable ties; you must provide the existing DisplayPort cable you want to extend and a DisplayPort source and display.

Which version should I choose for 4K 240 Hz gaming with G-Sync?

This single DP1.4 model supports 4K at 240 Hz, 32.4 Gbps bandwidth, DSC 1.2, and both FreeSync and G-Sync, so it covers that use case without needing a different variant.
