Certified 8K DisplayPort Cable

This VESA certified DisplayPort 1.4 cable carries 32.4 Gbps bandwidth over a 6.6 ft copper link. It connects desktops, laptops and high refresh rate gaming monitors with a DisplayPort output. Buyers who need longer runs or fibre based links will need a different solution.

Passive copper construction

The 30 AWG tinned copper conductors run without active electronics so the cable draws no external power and adds no fan noise. It supports HBR3, HDCP 2.2, HDR, DSC and forward error correction for clean signal integrity. Installations that require plenum rating or armoured jackets are not addressed by this product.

Sustained high refresh transmission

The link maintains 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz continuously thanks to full 32.4 Gbps throughput. Multi stream transport and 32 audio channels remain stable during extended gaming or video sessions. Users who need 8K beyond 60 Hz or 4K beyond 240 Hz will require a higher bandwidth interface.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the DisplayPort male-to-male cable, and what step do people often miss?

Plug each male connector firmly into the DP 1.4 ports on your source and display until the latch clicks; the step many miss is pressing the release button before pulling it out, otherwise the latch can bend.

What upkeep will this 30AWG tinned-copper cable need over time?

No scheduled maintenance is required; simply keep the gold-plated contacts clean and avoid sharp bends or tight cable ties that could fatigue the 30AWG conductors.

At what point does the 32.4Gbps bandwidth limit appear during sustained 8K@60Hz use?

The 32.4Gbps ceiling is reached when driving 7680x4320 at 60Hz with full-colour HDR and 32 audio channels; DSC compression keeps the stream inside that limit without frame drops.
