DP 1.4 Fiber Optic Cable

This DisplayPort 1.4 fiber optic cable carries 8K resolution at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz over a 32.4 Gbps link. The male-to-male connectors suit graphics cards and monitors that require long-distance signal integrity without repeaters.

Replacing copper DisplayPort runs

Copper cables typically lose fidelity beyond a few metres at these bandwidths. The optical design maintains full 8K 7680×4320 or 4K 144 Hz performance across the full 100 ft length, so the upgrade is worth it whenever the source and display are separated by more than a standard desk span.

Sustained-load behaviour

Fiber transmission is immune to electromagnetic interference, so video and audio stay in sync during extended gaming or streaming sessions. The slim 6.3 mm jacket remains flexible for routing through walls or conduit without signal degradation over time.

Questions about this item

Does the 100ft DP 1.4 fiber cable need external power to run 8K@60Hz?

No, the optical engine draws power from the DisplayPort source so no separate adapter is required.

Which end of the directional DP 1.4 cable plugs into the GPU?

The connector marked "Source" goes to the graphics card; reversing it will give no signal.

Can the 32.4Gbps fiber cores be repaired if the cable is kinked?

The glass fibers cannot be field-spliced; a damaged run must be replaced.
