Green circuit board with two silver RJ45 ports and a gold PCIe x1 edge connector

SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK Dual Port 2.5G PCIe x1 Network Card RTL8125B

SKU CH-KWP0-CMF7M

Dual-port 2.5G PCIe x1 Ethernet adapter with Realtek RTL8125B chip, auto-negotiating 2500/1000/100Mbps speeds and supporting link aggregation for combined bandwidth

  • Dual RJ45 ports deliver 2.5 Gbps each for high-speed wired networking
  • Realtek RTL8125B controller provides stable 2.5G Base-T performance on every port
  • Auto-negotiation at 2500, 1000 and 100 Mbps adapts to any network environment
  • PCIe x1 design fits x1, x4, x8 and x16 slots on mainstream motherboards
  • Link aggregation merges both ports for higher throughput and network redundancy

Dual-Port 2.5G Ethernet Adapter

The SMUGDESK network card adds two RJ45 ports, each capable of 2.5Gbps throughput, using the Realtek RTL8125B controller. It is designed for desktop owners, DIY NAS builders and soft-router projects that need more wired bandwidth than a single gigabit link provides.

PCIe X1 Slot Compatibility

The card uses a standard PCIe X1 edge connector and fits any X1, X4, X8 or X16 slot on mainstream motherboards. Auto-negotiation at 2500, 1000 or 100Mbps lets it work with existing switches and cabling, while link aggregation can combine both ports for higher aggregate throughput and failover redundancy.

Sustained 2.5Gbps Operation

The RTL8125B controller maintains 2.5G Base-T line rate on each port during prolonged transfers, avoiding the throughput drop that occurs when a single gigabit port saturates. Dual independent MACs keep both links active simultaneously, so long-duration NAS backups or router traffic run at full negotiated speed without thermal throttling.
