Replacement PSU for Alienware Graphics Amplifier

The SMUGDESK HU460AM-00 is a 460W power adapter built as an OEM exact replacement for the Dell Alienware Graphics Amplifier external GPU dock. It restores full dock operation when the original unit fails and also cross-fits select XPS 8700 and 8900 desktop systems. Installers can swap the module directly without modifying the dock casing or internal wiring layout. It suits technicians and owners needing a direct-fit repair spare.

Continuous 460W output with 375W +12V rail

The supply delivers a rated continuous 460W output with a stable +12V rail capable of supporting up to 375W for high-power full-size PCIe graphics cards. This single rail capacity determines whether a chosen GPU can run without triggering protection circuits. Builders pairing cards that draw more than 375W on the 12V line will need a different power solution.

Active PFC and full protection for sustained loads

Active power factor correction and comprehensive OVP, UVP, OCP and SCP protection keep the unit stable during 24/7 gaming sessions and long rendering runs. The wide-range 100-240V AC input maintains steady operation across global household voltages without manual switching. Thermal and electrical safeguards prevent shutdowns or damage during extended high-load periods rather than only in short bursts.
