SFF8087 to four left-angled SATA breakout
This 12Gbps internal harness converts one SFF8087 Mini SAS port into four left-angled SATA connectors for multidrive server, NAS and storage-backplane builds. The 0.5M (19.68in) length keeps routing tidy inside compact chassis. Heavy-duty shielded wiring maintains signal integrity across all four lanes. It is not for external enclosures or single-drive direct-attach scenarios.
Sustained 12Gbps throughput under load
Shielded breakout construction limits signal loss so each SATA lane holds 12Gbps during continuous RAID rebuilds, parity checks or bulk data migration. Left-angled plugs reduce bend radius stress, preventing intermittent disconnects when drives vibrate in dense cages. The compact harness avoids excess slack that can trap heat and degrade long-term link stability. It does not add active signal conditioning beyond the passive shielding provided.
0.5M length constraint for tight chassis
At 0.5M (19.68in) the cable only reaches drives positioned close to the controller or backplane, making it unsuitable for full-tower cases or distributed drive bays. Installers needing longer runs must choose a different harness. The fixed length is the single specification that determines fit in a given build.

Questions about this item
Does the 12Gbps SFF8087 breakout generate noticeable heat or noise during continuous server operation?
The passive cable assembly has no active components, so it produces zero noise and negligible heat even when all four SATA drives run at 12Gbps around the clock.
What must already be present in the chassis for this 0.5M harness to function?
You need a free SFF8087 Mini SAS port on a RAID controller or motherboard and up to four drives with standard SATA data connectors.
Will the left-angled SATA plugs clear older 3.5-inch drives mounted in tight backplanes?
The left-angle design points the cable parallel to the drive edge, giving extra clearance in crowded bays where straight plugs would hit adjacent hardware.
