Converts 44-56V PoE into stable 5V USB-C power and Gigabit data over a single cable for Raspberry Pi 4, Google WiFi, IP cameras and other 5V Type-C devices
This SMUGDESK PoE splitter converts standard IEEE 802.3af network power into a steady 5 V USB-C supply while passing gigabit data through a separate RJ45 port. It lets you run a Raspberry Pi 4, Google WiFi point or USB-C security camera from a single Ethernet cable connected to an af PoE switch or injector. No drivers or configuration are required and the unit supports both Mode A and Mode B wiring.
The adapter suits deployments where mains sockets are absent but a PoE network drop is available, such as ceiling-mounted access points, remote Pi projects or IP cameras. It is not suited for devices that require higher USB-C voltage profiles, equipment that draws more current than the af budget allows, or networks that only provide passive PoE or 802.3at/bt power without af fallback. A compliant af injector or switch must already be in place.
The splitter delivers exactly 5 V on its USB-C port, which is the single figure that decides whether your target hardware can be powered. The input accepts 44-56 V from any IEEE 802.3af source, and built-in over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection guards the connected device. If your gear needs 5 V Type-C power and you have af PoE infrastructure, this converter fits the requirement.
