What this cable does

This five-foot USB-C to USB-C cable carries Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 signals at up to 40 Gbps. It also delivers up to 240 W of power at 48 V and 5 A, and drives a single 8K or 5K display at 60 Hz or two 4K displays at 60 Hz when the host supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. It is built for users who need maximum throughput, high-watt charging and top-tier video from one cable.

Why upgrade from earlier cables

Previous USB-C cables typically topped out at 60 W or 100 W and lower data rates; this model raises the ceiling to 240 W and 40 Gbps. The jump is worth it when you charge power-hungry laptops, move multi-gigabyte files in seconds, or drive an 8K monitor without a second cable. It remains backward compatible with USB 3.2, 3.1 and 2.0 devices, so older gear still works.

Build fit and what it frees

Plug it into any Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, USB4 or USB-C port that supports the required power and video modes; no driver install is needed. One cable replaces a separate charging lead, a high-speed data lead and a display lead, reducing desk clutter and travel bulk. Buyers who need longer runs, active optical extension or legacy USB-A connectivity will need additional adapters or cables.
