Shielded round Cat 8 Ethernet cable with molded RJ45 connectors, 30 metre length

SMUGDESK

SMUGDESK Torpedo Nova Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 30M 40Gbps 2000MHz

SKU CH-JBBM-2K6N2

A 30 metre Cat 8 patch cord rated for 40 Gbps and 2000 MHz bandwidth with pure copper conductors, full SFTP shielding and moulded strain relief for PoE++ power and 8K streaming

Length 30M

  • 40 Gbps speed and 2000 MHz bandwidth for 8K streaming and large file transfers
  • 100 % oxygen-free pure copper conductors ensure low resistance and stable PoE++ power delivery
  • Full SFTP double-layer shielding eliminates crosstalk and electromagnetic interference in dense wiring
  • Molded strain relief on both ends protects joints from breakage during frequent bending and pulling
  • 30 m round flexible cable routes neatly in cabinets and is backward compatible with Cat7/Cat6a/Cat6/Cat5e

Built for 40Gbps networking

The SMUGDESK Torpedo Nova is a Cat 8 Ethernet cable rated for 40Gbps throughput and 2000MHz bandwidth. It targets data-centre administrators, NAS operators and anyone running 8K video streams or large dataset transfers over a 30-metre link.

Shielded construction keeps signals clean

SFTP double-layer shielding blocks crosstalk and electromagnetic interference from adjacent power cables or equipment. Solid oxygen-free copper conductors minimise attenuation, ensuring stable PoE++ delivery without packet loss across the full run length.

Molded strain relief protects the connection

Injection-moulded boots reinforce each RJ45 plug against bending and pulling during rack routing or repeated patching. The round, flexible jacket simplifies cable management in cabinets and server racks while maintaining full backward compatibility with existing Cat 7, Cat 6a, Cat 6 and Cat 5e infrastructure.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 30-metre Cat8 cable without damaging the RJ45 connectors?

Route the round flexible cord through cabinets or racks, then push each molded strain-relief boot straight into the port until it clicks; pulling on the cable body instead of the boot is the step that fractures internal wires.

What maintenance or replacement will the pure-copper SFTP cable need over time?

The solid oxygen-free copper conductors and double-layer shielding require no scheduled maintenance; replace the cable only if the molded boots crack or a connector latch snaps off after repeated insertions.

What is the first performance limit I will hit during sustained 40Gbps transfers?

The 2000MHz bandwidth ceiling defines the maximum sustained frequency; signal attenuation over the 30-metre run will reach the Cat8 channel limit before the 40Gbps data rate becomes the bottleneck.
