USB 3.0 Active Extension Cable 100ft

This active USB 3.0 extension cable uses built-in signal booster chips to maintain SuperSpeed performance across distances from 16ft to 100ft. It connects a host computer or Windows tablet to peripherals such as VR headsets, consoles, printers, cameras, keyboards, mice, flash drives and hubs. The cord is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices. A 5V/2A power adapter is included for stable long-distance transmission.

Sustained long-distance performance

Four extension chipsets amplify the signal to prevent attenuation over the full 100ft length, keeping data transfer reliable during extended sessions. The 22AWG tinned copper conductors combine with aluminium foil and braided shielding to reject EMI and RFI interference. When a connected device draws more than 900mA, the supplied power adapter must be used to maintain voltage stability.

Installation and common issues

Plug the A-Male end into the host and the A-Female end into the peripheral; attach the power adapter when the peripheral exceeds 900mA current draw. The cable works with USB 3.0 and 2.0 devices without driver installation. Problems usually arise if the power adapter is omitted for high-draw devices or if the cable is sharply bent near the connectors, which can damage the internal booster chips.
