32 ft USB 3.0 active extension

This 32 ft active USB 3.0 extension cable adds distance between a computer and USB peripherals without signal loss. Four built-in booster chips regenerate the SuperSpeed signal across the full length. A 5 V 2 A power adapter is included to support bus-powered devices such as external hard drives. The cable uses USB-A male to USB-A female connectors and requires no driver installation.

5 Gbit/s limit and 32 ft practical reach

The USB 3.0 interface caps throughput at 5 Gbit/s, roughly ten times the 480 Mbit/s of USB 2.0. Active circuitry lets the cable reach 32 ft while maintaining that rate; passive cables cannot reliably exceed 16 ft at SuperSpeed. Heavy electromagnetic environments may still reduce effective throughput, and the 5 V supply must remain connected for power-hungry endpoints.

Replaces shorter passive cables for remote devices
