What this cable does
A 10 ft USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 link carries 32.4 Gbps for 8K 60 Hz, 4K 240 Hz and 2K 240 Hz output. It connects a Thunderbolt 4 or 3 source to a DisplayPort monitor in one direction only.
Bandwidth and protocol limits
The 32.4 Gbps ceiling covers HDR, HDCP 2.3 and 2.2, DSC and MST, while remaining backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1. The source must support DP Alt Mode and the target must accept the chosen resolution and refresh rate.
Replaces older active adapters
A single braided cord with a built-in CYPD chip removes the need for separate converters and extra power bricks. The jump is worth it when you want 4K 144 Hz or higher without signal drop-outs on MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, XPS or Galaxy devices listed from 2017 to 2021.

Questions about this item
Which length of this cable should I pick for my setup?
The cable is supplied in a single 10 ft length, so choose it when the distance between your USB-C source and DisplayPort monitor fits within that reach.
What does the 32.4 Gbps rating mean when I plug it into a real machine?
It delivers the full DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3 bandwidth, enabling 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 240 Hz, 5K at 60 Hz or 5120×1440 at 120 Hz provided both host and display support those modes.
Does the Thunderbolt 4 compatibility cap the resolution or refresh rate I can get?
No — the cable passes the full 32.4 Gbps DisplayPort 1.4 signal through Thunderbolt 4 or 3 ports, so 8K 60 Hz, 4K 240 Hz and 2K 240 Hz remain available when the host and monitor support them.
