USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable 3.3FT
The SMUGDESK USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable connects a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 host to a DisplayPort monitor. It supports 8K at 60Hz, 4K at 144Hz and 2K at 240Hz for gaming or professional work. The 3.3FT length suits desktop setups where the display sits close to the computer.
Bandwidth and protocol limits
The cable delivers 32.4Gbps over HBR3 and meets the VESA DisplayPort 1.4 specification. It handles DSC, FEC, HDR and HDCP 2.2/1.4 for protected content. Windows MST allows daisy-chaining multiple monitors from one port. Mac clamshell mode works only when the laptop is connected to power.
Replaces adapters and older cables
This single cable removes the need for separate USB-C to DisplayPort adapters or legacy cables limited to lower bandwidth. The jump is worthwhile when you need 8K60, 4K144Hz or 2K240Hz without signal flicker. It does not carry power, so devices that require charging over the same port need a different solution.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the 3.3FT length for my desk setup?
The 3.3FT cable suits close-range connections between a laptop and monitor on the same desk. Longer runs would need a different length.
What does 8K@60Hz actually deliver on my display?
It provides a 7680x4320 image at 60 frames per second with HDR support, ideal for detailed creative work or high-resolution media playback.
How does the DisplayPort 1.4 interface limit real-world performance?
The 32.4Gbps HBR3 bandwidth caps the maximum resolution and refresh rate combinations, enabling 8K@60Hz or 4K@144Hz but not higher rates at 8K.
