What this cable connects
A USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable carrying 32.4Gbps bandwidth for 8K60Hz, 4K144Hz and 2K240Hz output. It serves Thunderbolt 3 or 4 hosts that support DP Alt Mode and need a single-cable link to high-refresh gaming or colour-critical monitors.
Build and daily use
The connectors display the USB-C and DP common-protocol logos and meet the VESA DP 1.4 standard with HBR3 signalling. DSC 1.2 compression, FEC and HDCP 2.2 are supported so long cable runs stay free of flicker and audio drop-outs while carrying 32-bit sound and Dynamic HDR.
What it upgrades and when to choose it
Replaces older DP 1.2 or 1.1 cables that cap at 4K60Hz or 2K144Hz and cannot drive multi-stream 1080P arrays. The jump is worth it when your host and display both support DP 1.4 or Thunderbolt 3/4 and you need 8K60Hz, 4K144Hz or 2K240Hz without adapters or driver installs.
