Unidirectional USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 Cable
This 6.6ft cable carries video from a USB-C or Thunderbolt source to a DisplayPort monitor at up to 32.4Gbps. It supports 8K at 60Hz, 4K at 240Hz and 2K at 240Hz with HDR, VRR and HDCP 2.3 compliance. The plug is one-way only, so the host must provide DP Alt Mode output.
For Thunderbolt hosts needing high refresh rates
Gamers and creators with Thunderbolt 3 or 4 laptops, recent MacBooks, iPad Pro models or USB-C PCs that support DP Alt Mode will get full 4K 240Hz or 8K 60Hz performance. Buyers whose source lacks DP Alt Mode, or who need to drive a USB-C display from a DisplayPort output, cannot use this cable.
Plug in and go with a built-in CYPD chip
The connector houses a smart CYPD chip that negotiates the link automatically; no drivers are required on Windows or macOS. Ensure the host port is labelled Thunderbolt or DP Alt Mode, otherwise the screen will stay black. The 28 AWG tinned copper conductors and braided nylon jacket resist kinking during frequent connect-disconnect cycles.

Questions about this item
Does my laptop need a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode for this cable to work?
Yes, the source device must support DP Alt Mode over its USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 port to transmit video to a DisplayPort display.
Will this cable work with a monitor that only has DisplayPort 1.2?
The cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1, so it will function at the monitor's maximum supported resolution and refresh rate.
How can I verify the cable is delivering the highest supported refresh rate after connecting?
Open the monitor's on-screen display or your OS display settings; they should show the active resolution and refresh rate such as 4K at 165 Hz or 2K at 240 Hz when both devices support it.
