Cable purpose and compatibility
This USB-C to DisplayPort 1.4 cable carries video from a Thunderbolt 4 or 3 port to a DisplayPort monitor. It supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K up to 240 Hz and 2K up to 240 Hz with a 32.4 Gbps bandwidth. The unidirectional design works only from a USB-C source to a DisplayPort display.
VESA certification and smart chip
The cable meets VESA DisplayPort 1.4 certification and includes a built-in CYPD smart chip for stable signal transmission. It enables HDR, Dynamic HDR, HDCP 2.3 and 2.2, VRR, ALLM, QMS, QFT, DSC, FEC and MST on Windows. Backwards compatibility covers DP 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1.
Suitable users and limits
Ideal for MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Mini, iPad Pro, Dell XPS and Samsung Galaxy owners who need high-refresh-rate external displays. Not suited for users who require a bidirectional cable or whose source device lacks DP Alt Mode support.

Questions about this item
Will the CYPD smart chip or the 28 AWG tinned copper conductors need replacement after extended use?
The cable is a passive assembly with no moving parts; the CYPD chip and 28 AWG conductors are built for the life of the cable and do not require scheduled replacement.
What resolution and refresh-rate ceiling appears first when the link runs at the full 32.4 Gbps bandwidth?
The cable tops out at 8K 60 Hz, 4K 240 Hz, 144 Hz or 165 Hz, and 2K 240 Hz or 165 Hz, all within the 32.4 Gbps DisplayPort 1.4 limit.
Does the braided jacket or the CYPD chip generate noticeable heat during all-day 8K 60 Hz or 4K 240 Hz operation?
The cable draws only the DisplayPort auxiliary power needed for the CYPD chip, so it stays cool to the touch and adds no audible noise during continuous use.
