USB SIM Card Reader Writer Kit

The SMUGDESK USB SIM Card Reader Writer Backup Kit reads, writes, copies and clones data from GSM and CDMA SIM cards. It backs up contacts and SMS messages to a Windows computer to protect against loss from card damage or phone failure. The device plugs into a standard USB port and includes software to view, edit and export records. It suits personal backup, phone maintenance and small-scale debugging tasks.

Compatibility Check Before Ordering

Verify that your SIM card is not encrypted or operator-locked, as such cards may not support full clone or write functions. Confirm the host computer runs a Windows operating system, because the supplied software is designed for that platform. Ensure a free USB Type-A port is available for direct connection. No separate power adapter or driver disc is mentioned, so the host must supply bus power.

Build Quality and Daily Use

The compact, lightweight body is easy to store and carry for mobile repair or data-management work. A simple slot accepts the SIM card before the unit is inserted into the USB port, leaving no cables or bulky housings on the desk. Because it draws power from the bus, the reader adds no extra clutter to a workstation or laptop bag. The plug-and-play style suits technicians who move between desks or field locations.
