1.6 ft USB4 cable for high-power charging

This 1.6 ft USB4 cable delivers up to 240W of power at 48V/5A for rapid charging of compatible laptops. It supports 40Gbps data transfer when connected to devices that also operate at that speed. The braided construction suits users who need a short, durable link between a host and a monitor, dock or SSD.

Sustained 240W charging and 40Gbps throughput

The cable maintains its full 240W power rating and 40Gbps bandwidth during extended sessions rather than only in short bursts. It drives a single display at 8K resolution at 60Hz or two displays at 4K when paired with a second cable. Backwards compatibility with Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.2, USB 3.1 and USB 3.0 ensures stable performance across mixed generations of hardware.

Plug-and-play installation with Thunderbolt 4 hosts

Both ends use standard USB-C connectors, so installation is a simple push-fit into any Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C port. The short 1.6 ft length reduces clutter but limits reach between devices placed far apart. Users who need longer runs or angled connectors will find this length restrictive.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.6 ft braided cable get warm during sustained 240W charging?

The cable is rated for 48V/5A up to 240W; under continuous load it may become warm, which is normal for high-power delivery.

What host port is required to reach the 40Gbps transfer rate?

A USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 port on the host device is needed; the cable is backwards compatible with USB 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 at lower speeds.

Will this cable drive an 8K@60Hz monitor from a Thunderbolt 3 laptop?

Thunderbolt 3 ports typically max out at 4K@60Hz; the cable supports 8K@60Hz only when both host and display support that mode.
