Rugged DECT handset for tough environments
The Snom M80 is a new industrial handset built for IP65 protection and MIL-STD-810g 516.6 tested durability. It targets workers who need reliable wireless voice communication in dusty, wet or outdoor settings. An integrated belt clip keeps the device secure during active use.
IP65 and MIL-STD-810g 516.6 certified housing
The single specification that decides fit is the combined IP65 rating and MIL-STD-810g 516.6 shock certification. This handset survives water jets, dust ingress and repeated drops that would destroy standard office cordless phones. Buyers needing only basic indoor mobility do not require this level of ruggedisation.
200 hours standby with Bluetooth LE
The battery delivers 200 hours standby time and supports Bluetooth LE for headset pairing. HD audio and a vibration alarm ensure clear alerts in noisy areas. It lacks a built-in keypad for dialling and cannot operate as a standalone base station.

Questions about this item
What does the IP65 rating mean for daily use on the M80 handset?
The IP65 rating confirms the handset is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction, so it survives rain, dust and splashes in industrial or outdoor environments.
How does Bluetooth LE on the M80 connect to existing base stations?
Bluetooth Low Energy provides a low-power wireless link to compatible DECT base stations, enabling cordless mobility while preserving the 200-hour standby figure.
What mounting options does the integrated belt clip on the M80 provide?
The fixed belt clip secures the handset to a standard work belt or waistband, keeping the device accessible and hands-free during active use.
