Cat8 Shielded Patch Cord 6 ft

This Cat8 Ethernet patch cord uses S/FTP construction with 26AWG copper conductors to deliver bandwidth up to 2000MHz and data rates up to 40Gbps. It is built for users who need maximum wired throughput for gaming, streaming or server links.

Double-shielded RJ45 connectors

Each end terminates in a shielded RJ45 plug that mates with standard ports on routers, switches, IP cameras, consoles and NAS units. The upgraded PVC jacket is waterproof, anti-corrosion and rated for direct burial, so the cable survives outdoor runs and harsh environments.

Low-interference design for stable throughput

The quad-shielded twisted pairs suppress EMI and RFI noise along the full 6 ft length, preserving signal integrity at high frequencies. No external power is required and the passive cable adds negligible heat or noise to the installation.

Questions about this item

What speed does the Cat 8 2000 MHz rating actually deliver?

The cable supports up to 40 Gbps data transmission, which is the practical ceiling for the 2000 MHz bandwidth.

Will the 26 AWG S/FTP cable fit a standard keystone jack or patch panel?

Yes, both ends terminate in standard shielded RJ45 connectors that match any keystone jack, patch panel or coupler with an RJ45 port.

How do I install it outdoors and what mistake should I avoid?

The cable is rated for direct burial and weatherproof use; lay it in the trench or conduit without stripping the outer jacket, which is the step people often skip.
