Cordless 8 W soldering iron heats in 38 seconds and includes an LED for low-light work
This 8-watt cordless soldering iron runs on AA batteries for portable electronics repair and field work. It reaches operating temperature in 38 seconds and includes a bright LED for low-light visibility. The cap-activated safety lock secures the tip when closed. Ideal for technicians who need quick, untethered soldering away from a bench power supply.
The iron delivers up to 8 watts of heating power and reaches approximately 480 °C (900 °F) at the 0.3 mm conical tip. Battery operation eliminates mains noise and cable drag during use. Heat output is fixed by the wattage rating and battery capacity; there is no temperature control dial. Swapping fresh AA cells restores full thermal performance instantly.
This model replaces butane irons that require fuel refills and lower-wattage battery irons such as 4.5 W units limited to 460 °C. The jump is worth it when you need faster 38-second heat-up, higher 480 °C tip temperature, and the convenience of standard AA cells. It does not suit heavy PCB work needing 12 W or 25–75 W butane tools.

Insert three AA batteries matching the polarity marks, then close the cap fully — the iron will not power on until the cap locks into the shut-off position.
Replace the three AA batteries when heat-up slows past 38 seconds, and swap the 0.3 mm conical tip when it no longer wets solder cleanly.
Battery voltage sag drops tip temperature below the 480 °C / 900 °F rating after extended soldering, slowing joint formation.
