E1.S 9.5mm enterprise SSD with 7.68TB QLC NAND, PCIe 4.0 x4, 6600 MBps read and 0.58 DWPD endurance
Model 7.68TB E1.S Opal
The Solidigm D5-P5430 is a 7.68TB enterprise solid-state drive built for read-intensive data centre workloads. It uses 192-layer QLC 3D NAND and a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface in the E1.S 9.5mm form factor. The drive targets servers and storage arrays that need high capacity with consistent sequential read performance up to 6600 MBps.
The drive slides into a compatible E1.S 9.5mm slot and locks with the built-in latch, drawing up to 15W active power and 5W idle. Ensure the backplane and firmware support PCIe 4.0 x4 signalling and the Opal security feature; mismatched firmware or an undersized power budget are the most common causes of detection failures.
At 0.58 drive writes per day, the 8.07 PBW total endurance suits read-heavy applications such as content delivery, warm storage or logging tiers. Workloads that exceed this write intensity will wear the QLC media faster than the rated 2,000,000-hour MTBF assumes, so calculate daily write volume before deployment.
Measured against everything we stock in Server & Data Center SSDs, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

Other versions of this model
Run a 4K random read test at queue depth 256 using a tool such as fio or CrystalDiskMark and compare the result to the 757000 IOPS specification.
The single pack contains only the 7.68TB E1.S 9.5mm drive; you must supply a compatible E1.S backplane or carrier, PCIe 4.0 cabling, and mounting screws.
The 7.68TB model provides 0.58 DWPD and 8.07 PBW total bytes written, the highest endurance point in this series.
