U.2 15 mm enterprise SSD with 30.72 TB of 192-layer QLC 3D NAND, PCIe 4.0 x4, 7000 MB/s read, 3000 MB/s write, 971000 random read IOPS, 86000 random write IOPS.
Model 30.72TB U.2
The Solidigm D5-P5430 is a 30.72 TB enterprise SSD built for read-intensive data-centre workloads. Its U.2 15 mm form factor fits standard 2.5-inch hot-swap bays in servers and storage arrays. The drive uses 192-layer QLC 3D NAND and a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface to deliver high capacity in a single slot. It targets environments that prioritise density and sequential throughput over write endurance.
Sequential reads reach 7000 MBps while sequential writes peak at 3000 MBps, so large ingest and streaming workloads run smoothly. Random read performance hits 971000 IOPS at queue depth 256, giving ample headroom for parallel access patterns. Random writes are rated at 86000 IOPS, and the 0.57 DWPD endurance rating means sustained heavy writing will exhaust the 31.93 PBW budget faster than read-dominated use cases.
The drive requires a U.2 backplane or adapter wired for PCIe 4.0 x4 to achieve rated throughput; a PCIe 3.0 link will halve available bandwidth. Systems limited to PCIe 3.0 or lacking U.2 connectors cannot use this SSD at full performance. Buyers needing higher write endurance or a different physical interface should evaluate alternative models.

Other versions of this model
The drive uses a U.2 15mm form factor, which is physically taller than standard 7mm 2.5-inch drives; verify your bay or carrier supports 15mm height before installation.
Check the link width and speed in your OS or BIOS — it should report PCIe 4.0 x4; benchmark sequential reads near 7000 MBps and writes near 3000 MBps to validate performance.
The single pack contains only the SSD; any 15mm-compatible drive carrier, heatsink, U.2 cable or PCIe adapter must be purchased separately.
