Compact industrial reader

The Solio MATRIX 220 is a fixed-mount 2D barcode scanner built for direct part marking. It uses a 1.2 megapixel sensor and a multicore image processing platform. The 12 mm lens suits close-range reading on production lines. Its compact form factor fits tight machine spaces.

Warehouse and manufacturing fit

This unit targets warehouses and factories needing reliable DPM capture on metal, plastic or printed labels. Operations requiring omnidirectional hand-held scanning or long-range reading should evaluate other form factors. Buyers needing integrated illumination beyond the built-in options must verify suitability separately.

1.2 megapixel sensor decides fit

The 1.2 MP resolution determines the smallest code size and contrast the reader can resolve. Match this spec against your symbol density and substrate requirements before purchasing. The 385-010 model number identifies this exact optical configuration.

Questions about this item

How is the 12 mm fixed focal length set up during installation?

Mount the Matrix 220 so the target barcode sits at the 12 mm working distance, then secure the reader; the fixed focus removes any lens-adjustment step that causes misalignment on variable-focus units.

What ongoing maintenance does the 1.2 MP DPM-R sensor require?

Clean the optical window regularly with a lint-free cloth; the sealed imager has no user-serviceable parts, so no internal cleaning or sensor replacement is needed.

At what distance does the 12 mm focal length stop reading reliably?

The fixed 12 mm focal plane defines the sharp-focus zone; codes presented significantly closer or farther than this distance will fall outside the depth of field and fail to decode.
