Emergency Radio with 2000mAh Power Bank

The sonicRapid RT-radio-back-01 is a portable AM/FM/NOAA weather radio designed for emergency preparedness and outdoor use. It receives AM signals from 520 to 1710 KHz and FM from 87 to 108 MHz alongside 7 NOAA weather channels. A built-in 2000mAh rechargeable battery also serves as a power bank for charging phones via USB-C during outages. Buyers needing digital radio modes or internet connectivity will not find those features here.

Three Power Sources for Off-Grid Operation

The unit runs from its internal Li-ion battery, a built-in solar panel, or a hand crank dynamo, removing dependence on mains electricity. A USB-C cable is included for topping up the battery from any USB power source before departure. The 1-watt speaker delivers weather alerts and audio without external amplification. Builders wanting a fixed-mount station with external antenna terminals should look elsewhere.

Integrated Flashlight and SOS Alarm

A built-in LED flashlight provides immediate illumination for campsite tasks or night-time evacuation. An SOS alarm function adds an audible distress signal for search-and-rescue scenarios. The compact 2.2 by 2.7 by 5.7 inch body weighs 200 grams, fitting easily into a grab-bag or glovebox. Users requiring a high-lumen tactical torch or a dedicated area light will need separate equipment.

Questions about this item

How long will the 2000mAh battery keep the radio running before it needs recharging?

The built-in 2000mAh lithium-ion battery powers the radio and flashlight; actual runtime depends on volume level and flashlight use, and the unit can be recharged via USB-C, solar panel or hand crank when the battery runs low.

How much noise does the hand crank make when you are generating power?

The hand crank produces a mechanical clicking sound while turning, but the radio itself has no fan or motor, so normal operation is silent apart from the audio output.

What cable do I need to charge the radio from a wall outlet?

A USB-C cable is included in the box for charging the internal battery from any standard USB power adapter.
