SKU CH-8E5H-KED74 MPN 03-SSC-0725

Dual-band indoor access point with 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and MIMO technology for ceiling mounting

  • 11ax cuts latency by 75% for responsive connections
  • 4X throughput boost handles dense device environments
  • 1024 QAM increases data per transmission for faster speeds
  • 5 Gigabit Ethernet port removes wired bottlenecks
  • Cloud management via WNM simplifies network administration

SonicWave 621 dual-band indoor AP

The SonicWave 621 is a ceiling-mountable wireless access point built for commercial environments that need 802.11ax performance across 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz bands. It targets IT teams managing dense, multi-device deployments where consistent throughput and low latency matter. Cloud management through SonicWall Wireless Network Manager keeps configuration centralised without on-premise controllers.

2.5 Gigabit Ethernet uplink and PoE power

A single 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port carries both data and power, drawing 21 W from a compatible PoE injector or switch. The 2.5 Gbps link removes the 1 Gbps bottleneck common on older APs, letting the 802.11ax radio deliver its full 4X throughput gain. Ceiling mounting keeps the internal antennas clear of obstructions for optimal coverage.

WNM cloud management and beamforming

Wireless Network Manager provides cloud-based provisioning, monitoring and firmware updates without a local controller appliance. Beamforming focuses signal toward connected clients for faster, more reliable links. 1024 QAM modulation increases data density, contributing to the 37% nominal rate improvement over 802.11ac Wave 2.
