Dual-band wireless access point with five internal antennas, one Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ port, USB, and three-year management license for high-density environments
The SonicWall SonicWave 641 is an indoor wireless access point built for high-density, multi-device environments. It supports dual-band operation on 2.40 GHz and 5 GHz with five internal antennas. The unit includes a 3-year Secure Wireless Network Management and Support license. It is suited for organisations that need centralised, cloud-based control over wireless and switching infrastructure.
The access point draws power through a single 802.3at PoE+ port, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter. With no moving parts and an internal antenna design, it operates silently in wall, ceiling, shelf, tabletop or desktop mounting scenarios. Power consumption scales with connected client load and radio duty cycle under normal office conditions.
Under sustained load the 802.11ax radios use 1024 QAM and MU-MIMO uplink and downlink to maintain throughput across many simultaneous clients. Deep packet inspection from a paired SonicWall firewall continues to scan all wireless traffic for malware and intrusions without adding latency. The cloud-based Wireless Network Manager simplifies ongoing troubleshooting across multiple tenants and zones.

Use the included ceiling-mount bracket and secure it to a structural joist; the step often missed is tightening the safety tether screw after the AP clicks into place.
The internal antennas and single RJ-45 port need no routine service; only firmware updates via the cloud manager are required over the product life.
The single Gigabit Ethernet uplink caps sustained aggregate traffic at 1 Gbps, so the wired backhaul becomes the bottleneck before the 802.11ax radio.
