Compact 61MP Full-Frame Body

The Sony a7CR pairs a 61MP Exmor R BSI sensor with the BIONZ XR processor in a silver body built for everyday carry. It delivers 15-stop dynamic range and a native ISO range of 50-102400. The kit includes a 64GB card, flash, two tripods, bag, straps, cables and cleaning accessories. Buyers who need integrated vertical grips or larger battery capacity should look elsewhere.

61MP Stills and 10-Bit 4K60p Video

The sensor resolves 61 megapixels for detailed crops and supports 240.8MP Pixel Shift Multi Shooting for static subjects. Continuous shooting reaches 8 fps with the mechanical shutter. Video records 10-bit 4K at 60p with S-Log3, S-Gamut3, S-Cinetone and User LUTs. The single 64GB card fills quickly at 200MB/s write speeds during extended bursts or long 4K sessions.

Passive Cooling in a Compact Chassis

The small magnesium-alloy body relies on passive thermal management without a fan. Extended 4K60p recording or prolonged high-speed bursts will raise internal temperatures and eventually trigger recording limits. Power draw scales with sensor readout and processing load during continuous operation. No active cooling noise is present in normal stills use.

Questions about this item

Will the 61MP sensor still let me use my older E-mount lenses?

The full-frame Exmor R sensor works with any Sony E-mount lens; APS-C lenses automatically engage a crop mode while full-frame glass uses the entire 61MP area.

How do I confirm the 10-bit 4K60p recording is actually active?

Open the Movie Settings menu, set File Format to XAVC HS 4K and Record Setting to 60p 10-bit 4:2:2, then verify the top LCD shows “10-bit” next to the resolution icon.

Which accessories are already in the 12-piece bundle and what must I add?

The box contains the silver a7CR body, a 64GB Extreme PRO card, flash, 75cm tripod, 6.5in tabletop grip, gadget bag, wrist strap, micro-HDMI cable, blower, card reader, cleaning pen, cloth and starter kit; only extra batteries or lenses are separate.
