High-resolution mirrorless kit

The Sony Alpha 7R V pairs a 61MP full-frame sensor with the 70-200mm f/2.8 GM2 lens for photographers who demand maximum detail across varied subjects. AI-driven recognition extends to humans, vehicles and insects, supporting reliable focus in complex scenes.

Telephoto reach and aperture limits

The 70-200mm focal range covers portrait to mid-telephoto distances, while the constant f/2.8 aperture maintains exposure and depth-of-field control throughout the zoom. Photographers needing wider angles or longer reach must add other lenses.

61MP files and processing headroom

The 61-megapixel back-illuminated sensor produces large raw files that preserve fine detail for cropping and large prints. Continuous burst rates and buffer depth will limit extended high-speed sequences, and storage fills quickly during intensive sessions.
