Compact APS-C Mirrorless Kit

The Sony Alpha a6700 kit pairs a 26 MP APS-C mirrorless body with the E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS II power zoom lens. It is built for photo and video creators who want advanced autofocus and 4K 2160p video in a portable package. The camera includes 5-axis in-body stabilisation with Active Mode plus built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless transfer.

Suited for hybrid creators needing a light kit

This kit suits vloggers, travel photographers and hybrid shooters who value smooth, silent power zoom and reliable subject-recognition autofocus during video. Buyers who need a faster maximum aperture for low-light events or a longer telephoto reach for wildlife should look at alternative lens options.

26 MP APS-C sensor with 16-50mm power zoom

The 26 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor determines the resolution ceiling for both stills and 4K 2160p footage. The included lens covers a 24-75mm equivalent focal range with a minimum focus distance of 0.25 m and 7-blade circular aperture for smooth bokeh.

Questions about this item

What lens mount does the E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS II use to attach to the Alpha 6700 body?

The lens uses Sony's E-mount bayonet, which locks directly onto the Alpha 6700 without an adapter.

How do you attach the power-zoom lens to the camera, and what step is often missed?

Align the white mounting index on the lens barrel with the index on the body, twist until it clicks, then set the zoom lever to "PZ" so the motorised zoom engages.

Which parts of this kit will need firmware updates or cleaning over time?

Both the Alpha 6700 body and the E PZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS II lens accept firmware updates via the camera menu; the front and rear glass elements and the sensor should be cleaned periodically.
