Compact Full-Frame Kit

The Sony Alpha a7 III mirrorless camera with 28-70mm lens delivers a 24.2MP full-frame Exmor R BSI CMOS sensor and BIONZ X processor for 10 fps continuous shooting. Its 693-point hybrid AF system covers wide frame areas for reliable subject tracking. UHD 4K30p video supports HLG and S-Log3 gammas for flexible grading workflows.

Straightforward Lens Mounting

The included SEL2870 FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens attaches via Sony E-mount with a simple twist-lock action. Optical SteadyShot stabilisation helps reduce blur at slower shutter speeds. The tilting 3.0-inch 922k-dot touchscreen LCD and 2.36m-dot OLED EVF aid composition from awkward angles without extra accessories.

Check Mount and Power First

Verify your existing lenses use the Sony E-mount to ensure compatibility with this body. Confirm you have NP-FZ100 batteries and a compatible charger for the updated power system. Ensure your memory cards support the write speeds required for 4K video and 10 fps burst capture to avoid buffer delays.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 693-point hybrid AF is working after setup?

Enable the focus-area display in the menu, half-press the shutter and confirm the 693 phase-detection points and 425 contrast areas illuminate across the frame as the camera locks on a subject.

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The kit includes the a7 III body and the SEL2870 FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens in a white box; you will need to purchase a memory card, spare battery and charger separately.

Should I choose the body-only or the 28-70mm kit version?

Select the 28-70mm kit (ILCE7M3K/B) if you want a versatile zoom covering wide-angle to short telephoto right away; choose body-only if you already own E-mount lenses or prefer a different focal length.
