Compact full-frame mirrorless body

The Sony Alpha a7C packs a 24.2MP Exmor R BSI sensor and BIONZ X processor into a body designed for everyday carry. It targets photographers and videographers who want full-frame image quality without the bulk of larger mirrorless systems. The kit includes a 64GB UHS-I card, gadget bag, card reader and cleaning accessories for immediate use.

24.2MP Exmor R BSI sensor

The back-illuminated full-frame sensor delivers up to 15 stops of dynamic range and an extended ISO range of 50 to 204800. This single specification determines low-light capability, highlight retention and overall image fidelity for both stills and video. Buyers who need higher resolution for large prints or heavy cropping should look elsewhere.

5-axis in-body stabilisation

The stabilisation system compensates for camera shake across five axes during handheld shooting, supporting 10 fps continuous bursts and UHD 4K30p video with HLG and S-Log3 gammas. A 693-point phase-detection and 425-area contrast AF system maintains focus on moving subjects. The 3.0" vari-angle touchscreen and 2.36m-dot OLED viewfinder aid composition during extended sessions.
