Compact 2.0ch soundbar for small rooms

The Sony HTS100F is a 2.0 channel soundbar designed for compact living spaces or home offices. It integrates a tweeter and Bass Reflex speaker within a single slim cabinet measuring 35.5 inches wide. Bluetooth provides wireless streaming from phones or tablets. The package includes a remote commander, optical cable, AC cord and a wall-mount template for flexible placement.

HDMI ARC simplifies TV connection

The soundbar connects to a television through a single HDMI ARC link, carrying audio back from the TV without extra cables. An optical input is also supplied for sets that lack ARC. Bluetooth handles music streaming but does not support multi-room or high-bitrate codecs. The 2.0 channel layout cannot decode discrete surround formats such as Dolby Atmos or DTS:X, so movie soundtracks are downmixed to stereo.

Step up from built-in TV speakers

This unit replaces the internal speakers of a flat-panel TV, adding a dedicated tweeter and Bass Reflex port for clearer dialogue and deeper low-end. The Voice Enhancement mode lifts quiet speech in news or conference calls. It is not suited for buyers who want a separate wireless subwoofer, multi-channel surround decoding or room-filling output for large open-plan areas.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 2.0ch or 2.1ch version for a small room?

This model is a 2.0ch soundbar with a built-in Bass Reflex speaker, so there is no separate subwoofer to place.

What does the 120 watt power rating mean for daily TV viewing?

The 120 watt rating drives the two internal drivers and Bass Reflex port to fill a small living space with clear dialogue and punchy bass.

How does HDMI ARC simplify the connection to my TV?

HDMI ARC carries audio from the TV to the soundbar over a single cable and lets the TV remote control the volume.
