Pan/tilt/zoom surveillance camera with 25x optical zoom, 736x480 resolution at 30 fps, and wired RJ45 network connection
The Sony SNC-RZ30N is a wired network camera that also provides an analog composite video signal through a BNC connector. It uses a 1/6 type Super HAD CCD sensor to capture images at up to 736 x 480 resolution and streams Motion JPEG over a 100Base-TX Ethernet link. The unit includes a 25x optical zoom lens with a focal range of 2.4 mm to 60 mm. It is powered via an external adapter and includes dual PCMCIA Type II slots for expansion.
This camera fits installations that need both network streaming and a direct analog feed for existing monitors or DVRs. The 25x optical zoom and 340-degree pan range cover wide areas with detail on demand. Buyers who require high-definition resolutions such as 720p or 1080p should look elsewhere, as the maximum resolution is 736 x 480. Sites needing Power over Ethernet or wireless connectivity will also need a different model, since this unit uses a separate power adapter and a wired RJ45 connection only.
The sensor delivers a top resolution of 736 x 480 pixels at 30 frames per second, which determines the level of detail available for identification and recording. Lower resolutions of 640 x 480, 320 x 240 and 160 x 120 are also selectable to reduce bandwidth or storage needs. If the application demands more pixels than 736 x 480, this camera will not meet the requirement.

The pan completes a 340-degree sweep in 2 seconds and the tilt moves 115 degrees in 1.5 seconds, so sustained patrols cycle these motors continuously without a stated thermal limit.
The unit ships with a dedicated power adapter and connects via a single 100Base-TX RJ-45 port; no separate PoE injector is required.
The BNC connector delivers a standard composite video signal compatible with any DVR or capture card that accepts NTSC/PAL analog input.
