77" QD-OLED Smart TV for Home Cinema

The Sony XR77A95L is a 77-inch QD-OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV from 2023. It combines a Cognitive Processor XR with QD-OLED technology to deliver pure blacks and a wide colour volume. The set includes Acoustic Surface Audio Plus with a 2.2 speaker configuration and Dolby Atmos support. It is designed for residential viewing and gaming at 120Hz.

HDMI 2.1 Limits at 120Hz 4K

Four HDMI inputs accept 4K signals at 120Hz with VRR and ALLM for responsive gaming. The panel’s 8.5 ms response time supports fast motion, while eARC passes lossless audio to external systems. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth handle wireless streaming, and the Ethernet port provides a wired alternative. The Google TV platform streams apps directly without extra hardware.

Check Stand Space and VESA Mount

The included multi-position stand measures 67.63 inches wide and 16.25 inches deep, so confirm your furniture accommodates that footprint. For wall mounting, a 300x300 VESA pattern is required. The TV weighs enough to need two people for installation. Ensure your broadband speed meets 4K streaming demands and that your devices output 3840 x 2160 at 120Hz for full benefit.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 77-inch QD-OLED or a smaller size?

The 77-inch screen gives the widest field of view for 4K content and gaming at 120Hz; choose a smaller model only if your viewing distance or room size cannot accommodate the 67.63-inch width.

How does the 120Hz refresh rate work with PS5 or PC gaming?

The panel accepts 4K at 120Hz over HDMI with VRR and ALLM, so supported games run at the full frame rate without manual switching.

What does the 8.5 ms response time mean for motion clarity?

It measures pixel transition speed on the QD-OLED panel, keeping fast motion sharp during sports and gaming at 120Hz.
